Project Overview
- Installation of four new fume hoods and laboratory equipment
- Modifications to the existing HVAC systems to accommodate new equipment
- Close coordination with lab users, building landlord and tenants
To address the growing interdisciplinary research needs at the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Harbor Campus, this chemistry research expansion and renovation project increased fume hood and bench space capacity. It also enhanced the program with equipment including a Mass Spectrometer and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instruments.
The project scope involved modifications to the existing HVAC supply and return systems to accommodate the additional fume hoods. This project required precise scheduling within this operational research building and close coordination with DFCI lab users, building landlord and tenants.
